OFFSHORE WIND POWER - IT IS THE FUTURE.

Offshore wind

Three sites have been identified off the coast of Maine for the first wind farms in the state. One site is off the southern coast, near BOON ISLAND. The others are off Monhegan Island and Damariscove Island. The university of Maine is leading the effort through their DEEPCWIND Consortium.

Change in sales tax on boats
Governor Baldacci signed a bill introduced by Rep Pilon of Saco that will cut the sales tax on boats sold to non-residents. The effective tax rate goes from 5% to 2% effective August 2010.

First two AVANTI class rowing shells delivered. Shipped to the Chesapeake, these boats will be rowed by a private school on the eastern shore. Click HERE for details.

New storage and shop facilities

RUMERY'S completes the renovation to our 1890s brick building.
Rumery's former "mill" has been gutted and renovated into a shop space that can handle
vessels to 60 feet and 16 ft beam.
New electrical service has been installed, along with a new concrete slab with radiant heating.

This is the perfect facility for your refit or restoration.

At the same time our former workshop building has been dedicated to indoor heated storage.
Boats will be stored in a clean, heated space at a rate of $12 per square foot.
If you are looking for the best storage facility on the Maine coast, look no more.
Contact us today to reserve a space.
