Venice is in need of a new style of boat. Wakeless, yet elegant, versatile
enough to serve as a water taxi, mail delivery, ambulance, or any
of the thousands of tasks demanded of the venetian community. The

Rumery's 38 is a perfect boat for Venice. It leaves no wake.
The shape of the hull is such that it moves through the water and
at low and moderate speed, leaves the water undisturbed. No wake.
Even at top speed there is very little wake compared to the traditional
outboard or water taxi in use today.
Construction is Fiberglass (or cold molded Douglas fir over mahogany, with two layers of biaxial fiberglass cloth
on the exterior.)
Venezia is in need of a slippery, wakeless boat, a boat that will
traverse the canals and the lagoon and leave no wake. This hull will
travel at speed with no wake. It is very quiet. Perfect for the Venetian
way of life.
With the proper power, the boat will travel at more than 32 MPH with
little or no wake. This is possible because of the design of the hull
aft of the propeller and rudder, the narrow beam, and the sharp bow.
With a smaller engine, the boat will still move quickly, but with
zero wake (no waves) and very low fuel consumption. This is a perfect
boat for Venice.
As a "GREEN" vessel, this can be outfitted with a diesel-electric hybrid drive: a bank of batteries drive a powerful but silent electric motor. Recharding the batteries is done by either plugging into an outlet or by means of a small, fuel efficient diesel generator. Perfect for a hotel launch or water taxi.
