The
Crew
Our most valuable resource |
Chip:
Rumery's business manager for many years. He is active in the
local community: a member of the Biddeford Harbor Commission,
The Biddeford Shellfish Commission and the Biddeford Pool Fire
Department. Chip likes to hunt, fish and bowl. |
Steve: Graduate (with high honors) of two years of The Landing School of Boat Building and Design, He is Rumery's resource in vacuum bagging and carbon fiber technology. Steve is the primary ALERION builder. Also a valuable hand with all types of glass work and wood, as well as the chief rigger and tuner. |
Dave: Many years at Rumery's as a systems specialist. He has over 28 years experience with engines. He is an excellent cook; like most northerners, skiing is as necessary as air for Dave as well. |
James Turcotte (Fuji): Fuji has been with us for six years. He comes from a residential and commercial painting background, but has become extremely proficient with marine finishes, and now runs the varnish department. Fuji is also our resident Republican and big admirer of conservative politics. |
Shawn: A key member of the yard crew, and a specialist in boat bottoms. Shawn is a dedicated family man. He is also one of the lead men in our subsidiary Northern Artery. |
Devin: AKA Dickie. Just back from an extended trip to New Zealand, Dickie is magic with varnish and finish as well as diesels and everything in between. |
| |
Dave: A skilled hand at electronics and systems, Dave was instrumental in the OCEAN PLANET Vendée Globe project. |
Graham: Our yard coordinator and heavy equipment operator, back after a few years working for himself. Versitile and capable, and a pleasure to work with. |
AGGIE: The newest member of the crew. Slightly more mature than the photo would indicate, we'll try and convince her to pose for a new photograph.
Ziggy, below. |
